• Apprises Headquarters AFRC/A6 of emerging requirements and coordinates with HQ AFRC and other commands as necessary with respect to establishing hardware and software capabilities and services to be provided
• Responds to trouble reports by analyzing problems, providing solutions, and recommending actions necessary to avoid future difficulties such as enhancing, replacing or modifying existing programs or applications
• Makes recommendation on the modification of systems, applications, and process techniques, tactics, and procedures to meet mission objectives
• Develops local procedures and standards, gains leadership and HQ/A6 approval, and then employs them for users, support personnel, administrators and others
• Provides the NAF Commander with functional oversight over NAF systems with regular requirements to senior leadership
• Identifies problem areas as soon as possible to provide solutions to problems as early as possible to limit impacts on cost, schedule, performance and supportability
• Maintains an awareness of state-of-the-art technology through personal study, participations in meetings and conferences, attendance in classes and contacts with vendor, contractors, and automated data processing personnel in other commands

• Subject matter expert on computer security network, systems and applications
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary
• Manages, directs, schedules and coordinates system/network upgrades to ensure regulatory compliance

• Assesses the security posture of wing information systems and information, corrects problems found on-the-spot or research requirements, either software or hardware to be put in place to correct issues
• Works with the fellow agency, wing, and squadron program managers to track trends and identify possible problems
• Manages and coordinates guidance on hardware/software required to ensure systems and networks are in line with Air Force Instructions (AFI)
