HELLO,
I'm Raven, a seasoned HR professional with over 23 years’ experience in the game. Originally from Durban, I relocated after high school to start a career in the mining industry - in which I have spent many years providing expertise and support in striving for work environments ideal to achieve success for individuals and organizations. I am a husband and father of 3, living in Rustenburg, NW, where my family and I call home. As a father I know all too well on how to ensure I create a safe and stimulating space for my family and together with studies and various roles / skills in HR management, I understand what it takes to create a work space allowing talent to grow and evolve at the same time assisting the organization to achieve its targets and goals.
In the past few years, I have been the HR Manager at P2 Bauba Chrome Mine and Impala Platinum where my role often covers a wide range of HR duties including Management support, Labour Law/Relations, Workforce Planning, Budgeting/ Forecasting, Legal Compliance, Payroll, SLP, MC annual report and Talent management. I am well qualified in Human Resources, having a Diploma in HR and two Advanced Diplomas in HR Development and Labour Relations, as well as an MBA from MANCOSA obtained in 2017. The skills and experiences gained from the MBA study has enabled me to continue to successfully contribute to the HR strategy of the business and managing various strategic projects. I also hold two professional memberships as Member of the South African Board for People Practice (SABPP) and the Association of Mining Industry Human Resource (AMIHRP).
My passion lies in delivering excellent service, guidance, and support management in order to uplift work environments and motivate staff for the success of the company. I am an excellent communicator and team member who is ambitious and self-disciplined.
