I was in the Claims- W/C dept. for over 10 years. At first it was the work comp. call center- was promoted to Med.Only Claims examiner, then to Records Manager/Custodian of Records. Prior to that I worked at a chemotherapy ward at Children’s Hospital of San Diego as a receptionist to get office experience. I worked there (ManPower was the temporary service I was using at the time. ) My duties included a multi line phone system, keeping track of the appointments for each doctor and each patient. Paging the dr.’s. Communication with the Nurses, Radiologist, Neurologists as well as the Neurosurgeons. This was an insanely busy place to work and most people didn’t comeback after the 1st day. I made it eleven months, I left due to personal reasons, I kept getting viruses or colds from the kids. I would have stayed forever, I’m sure you understand. We did some light accounts payable as well.
As a volunteer I worked for the San Diego Padres to get the downtown ballpark built. I worked in Downtown San Diego and felt this was a great way to make a contribution to the city. I also worked at San Diego Comic Con and attended to attempt to make sure it stays in San Diego. This convention generates millions of dollars for the city.

My career with Golden Eagle was complete after I took on the challenge of Custodian of Records.
