INVENTION
Circulation Enhancement Medical Device and Method
USPTO Application Number: 632-76084
EFS Number: 4421-4673
Filed: November 5, 2021
Abstract:
This machine is based on Osteopathic principles, techniques and practice to increase circulation based on known knowledge of physics, physiology and anatomy. Its main goal is to increase circulation where there is circulatory compromise due to chronic and acute diseases. This circulatory compromise includes diseases such as Hyperlipidemia, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, COPD, constipation, chronic lymphedema, non-healing wound and ulcerations, peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vascular diseases: arterial and venous, post-surgical management, and venous/arterial thrombosis prevention etc. This machine/device would increase circulation in the system therefore alleviating the consequences of this circulatory compromise, long and short term. The apparatus is the means to apply low frequency cranial to caudal movement, therefore producing negative – positive pressure within the cranial, thoracic, abdominal and pelvic cavities, hence increasing circulations throughout the whole body. The device use involves the repetition of the cycle 15-20 times in 3 sets, am, noon and pm. The device is attached to each foot of the patient through a lever and a pair of comfortable shoes. The movement pressure is mostly on the ball of the foot, creating a pump action, with the ankle joint as a lever and fulcrum with the gastrocnemius muscles as the pump. The increase in circulation would be a benefit to wound healing based on physics, physiology and anatomy under the wound. This movement promotes increase in circulation hence, healing. This device is a method of treatment without the adverse side effects of pharmaceutical medications. Specifications:

Physician, Medical Mission to Kathmandu, Kingdom of Nepal Infectious Disease and Tropical Medicine Experiences During all medical humanitarian to these countries: Nepal, Jamaica, Haiti, El Salvador, Philippines, my work included collaborating with local medical providers in doing medical clinics and establishing medical clinics in the most remote part of the country. Diseases encountered are Leprosy, Malaria and Dengue Fever, Hepatitis ABC, HIV, Cholera in Nepal, Worm infestations in all the countries, Fungal Infections in all the countries (secondary to Malnutrition and Diabetes). MRSA infections in Haiti and Nepal. Mostly with the team we encountered hundreds of patients in the remote rural areas while doing free clinics. During these medical missions, realized from history and physical observation and encounters with patients that sanitation, especially running water and malnutrition, and Vitamin Deficiencies plays a big role in establishing good management of these infectious diseases. Informing the population how these contagions are transmitted of course is the most important factor that needs to be relayed to the population.
