WORK EXPERIENCE

TEACHER – (1993-1996) Taught fifth grade at Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Sixth grade at Gilbert Elementary, then substitute taught in the Gilbert School District for a year before starting our family.

PHOTOGRAPHER – Cheryl Dastrup Photography (2007-2016)

This job gave me the opportunity to work with hundreds of high school seniors families. I also did weddings, often with an additional photographer. You must have great people skills and be able to work with your clients. You need to provide them with proper help to choose location(s), clothing, etc.

EDUCATION:

College Degree – 1993 – Brigham Young University. Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Education. Taught fifth and sixth grade, substitute taught for a year then started our family.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE:

For 8 YEARS my family and I served dinner at the Boise Rescue Mission EVERY Sunday night. My son even decided to do his Eagle Project for the Rescue Mission as well. We LOVED doing that.

Very involved in church. Attend Sundays, the youth have Wednesday night activities, and I have volunteered to play the organ, teach the children, and lead the women, teach adults, etc. Saturday mornings the church needs to be cleaned by volunteers
