Department Responsibilities

• Fulfill all New Mold & Die requirements of the company

• Provide inputs to new developments mainly on

Manufacturability

• Copy product modifications requested by RND to molds

• Repair and maintain molds and dies

• Fulfill machining requirements of other departments like Maintenance, Assembly, Automation, Cable, PVC, QC etc. My Job Tasks

•Structural and Manufacturing Design of injection Molds

•Review injection molds those are designed by internal engineers

•Coordinate with Mold Suppliers from project hand overing to Mold ship out level including DFM reviews, Mold Design reviews

•Attend to new product development reviews and provide inputs on Manufacturability and as well as the functionality and design the changes as needed

•Copy product modifications requested by RND to molds

•Design and Manage mold repairs

•Planning the workshop according to the requirement

•Attend to production meetings and plan the tool room accordingly

•Coordinating with other departments like QA, Production and RND

•Use SolidWorks, SolidCAM, AutoCad, Mold Flow, GOM inspection, Geomatic Design X

•Reverse Engineering, 3d scanning

• Dealing with OEM on mold related matters. Eg: PCE-Austria, Voltex- Australia

•Coordinate with other departments like procurement, HR, QC, FFD, Maintenance, Finance etc to full fill the needs of the department Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineer equipped with extensive experience in Injection Mold design and manufacturing.
