By providing an alternative to custom builds, developers and line of business customers could make one request for a deployment at JPM Chase thus providing a complete platform stack in one request. All components of a pattern including infrastructure, application servers, load balancing and configuration options were predetermined to deliver a coherent solution that provides scalability and resiliency. An approximate savings of 20 million dollars.

• Managed a group of 27 global developers to create and support high availability WEB Infrastructure development services.

• Managed interface with Lines of Business to determine Service Level Agreements (SLA) including availability and total cost of ownership. Cost for redundancy in terms of “nines”.

• Service Owner: FAST Liquid Infrastructure. Allows for provisioning and delivery of Linux VM’s in less than 2 hours. Easy end user management: ability to add/remove users.

• Service Management: WEB as a Service. Handled all aspects of internal customer interface; including communication; Web as a Service Quarterly newsletter, setting requirements for availability and cost, security and compliance, interlocks with internal and external users, myWEB product demonstrations, and technology forum.

o Ensure compliance with the JPMChase development lifecycle management: process: PTx (Permit to Design, Permit to Build, Permit to Test, Permit to Operate).

• Vendor Management: Worked with RedHat, IBM, and Oracle to determine proper license counts, and lower the total cost of ownership.

The service's technical scope included Oracle, MSSQL, and Sybase databases; WINDOWS, AIX, Solaris, RHEL, and SuSe OS. Service operational requirements drivers include Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), SOX, and US Fed mandates, as well as independent audit engagements with KPMG and PWC;
