Qualifications

A Canadian citizen and a Petroleum Engineer with clean driving record.

Registered as a Professional Engineer member of the Association of (APEGA).

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a 7 years of engineering experience in the oil and gas.

Good knowledge of thermal production processes, oil treating and steam generation.

In-depth understanding of artificial lift systems, specifically rod pumping systems.

Familiar with artificial lift and thermal well design programs such as SROD, Rod Star, TWBS.

High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Strong analytical/problem solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.

Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis.

Physically fit to lift, climb. Walk, and bend.

Keen to learn and willing to relocate and travel if required. Field Production Skills:

Experience in field operations with an emphasis on artificial lift technology.

In a sour environment, manage day-to-day oil facility operations, including wells, pipelines, and batteries.

Perform well fluid sampling and analysis.

Computer skills:

Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Reservoir Simulation applications (STARS/IMEX)

PVTsim Nova and Wellbore Modelling using PIPESIM

UBD and MPD Modelling with WELLFLO

Familiar with SCADA System

GeoSCOUT, Accumap, and MATLAB.

Certificates:

H2S Alive Canada.

First Aid and WHMIS tickets.

Valid Class 5 driving license

Work Experience

Field Production Engineer (Marlowe/Steen River area) 2020 Tallahassee exploration inc. Calgary, AB

Provide production engineering support to the Calgary teams.

Compile daily reports and field performance updates.

Experience with Artificial lift (ESP), (SRP), and (PCP).

Manage day to day oil facility operations including wells, pipelines, and batteries in a sour environment.

Troubleshooting basic equipment (i.e., pumpjack) issues and completing work order requests.

Ensure all activities in compliance with health, safety and environmental practices and procedures.

Identify opportunities to improve operations, production, activities and reduce downtime.

Familiar with Measurement, SCADA experience.

Able to work with multi-disciplinary groups from technical to operations teams. Field engineering experience in details:

Check and maintain pumpjack engine by checking oil level, coolant level, clutch, and fuel gas pressure.

Periodically Check the wellhead to ensure well is pumping (i.e., TP, CP, and SPM check)

Test Presco High Pressure Shutdown monthly.

Check polish rod for any noticeable downhole vibrations.

Test wells for a minimum of 48 hours per month.

Ensure chemical pumps are operating normally and correct chemical injection rates are set.

Perform fluid shot to know fluid level in the casing. Perform Pipeline pigging.

Install insulation to prevent freezing during winter conditions as working in up north remote area.

Update the daily production excel sheet and compare the plant production versus well test production. Project Engineer 2013
