Review of HSE plan of the Project and issuing comments in the light of legal requirements like QCS, 2014, Qatar Labor Law, Environmental Regulations etc.

Preparation of Project Specific OH&S Plan of CDM Smith and pursing its approval from client.

Implementation of Contractor OH& S Plan and CDM Smith OH&S Plan on site in full spirit.

Review of Risk Assessments of each activity submitted by contractor and issuing comments.

Reviewing Logistics/Mobilization/Office Plans of contractor and recommending regulatory requirements for implementation.

Monitoring site activities and preparing weekly inspection reports.

Incident/Accident investigation and “Root Cause Analysis” to prevent recurrence of accidents.

Monitoring training program of contractors and issuing recommendations in overall improvement in the program.

Preparing Environmental Aspect/Impact Register for all relevant construction activities.

Conducting Environmental Audits twice a year and transmitting report to management and contractor for improvements in line with Environmental Standards & Environment Ministry Requirements.

Making sure that Environmental Permits for Project, Site Offices, Laydown Area, Dewatering Activities, Stockpiling/Screening and Haulage of Material are valid and pursuing their renewal.

Making sure that Construction Environmental Management Plan is updated every six month by the contractor and submitting its updated copy to Client (PWA) after thorough review.

Making sure that Hazardous Materials are stored, handled and transported as per Environmental Ministry Requirements and hazardous waste is disposed off through Environmental Ministry Licensed Contractor.

Submission of Monthly Environmental Report to Client (PWA) through PWA online dashboard.

Monitoring Environmental Spills Emergency Drills conducted by Contractor and maintaining the record for Audit purposes.

Making sure that noise levels are recorded and mitigation measures are implemented for all high noise activities.

Making sure that equipment are maintained to control greenhouse gases emissions and inspection records are generated.

Making sure that good ventilation is maintained in offices, confined spaces and hazardous material stores.
