About the Organization: Astra Microwave designs, develops, and manufactures of sub- systems for RF and microwave systems.

Responsibilities:

• Designing of RF and Microwave Modules from DC to 40GHz using EDLVA concepts, up down conversion and Threshold techniques.

• Testing, Tuning, and debugging of Radio Frequency and Microwave wide band modules such as EDLVA SUPER COMPONENT (18-40GHz), Up/Down Converters (6-18GHz), Threshold Detectors (both 6-18GHz & 18-40GHz) supplied for Defense.

• Tuning of the filters both lumped and distributed with frequency range of 100MHz to 40GHz.

• Testing of Individual Amplifiers, Switches, Mixers, Couplers, Frequency Multipliers, Digital attenuators, OCXOs, Limiters with frequency range of DC to 40GHz.

• Programming done using VEE Pro tool for RF and Video test parameters measurements like Gain, P1dB, Noise Figure, Linearity and Flatness etc.

• Evaluation of MMIC’s (Microwave Monolithic Integrated Circuits) devices like Low Noise Amplifier’s such as HMC460, TGA4840, Power Amplifiers such as CMD249, CMD184 and AMPL Indigenized Power Amplifiers, Low Noise Amplifiers

• Preparation of Documents like Technical specifications document (TS), Functional Test Procedure (FTP), Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP), Qualification Test Procedure (QTP), Manufacturing Test Procedure (MTP), Acceptance and Qualification Test reports (ATRs & QTR’s).

• Ensure all reports are submitted on time and collaborate with department on budget planning and tracking.

• Ensure Adherence to Quality, Environmental and Safety standards and facilitate audits and inspections as needed.

• Customers handling (BEL & DLRL).

PROJECT HANDLED:

Project: 18-40 GHz EDLVA SUPER COMPONENT

Client: DLRL, Hyderabad

DESCRIPTION: The 18-40 GHz EDLVA (Extended Digital Log Video Amplifier) SUPER COMPONENT is main component in SHAKTHI Project. It is used to detect the lowest signal levels having sensitivity of - 65dBm, providing Dynamic range of 60dB. The dynamic range covered by three stages of detection using fast response detectors. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Hyderabad, Telangana. Period: March 2019 to April 2020

About the Organization: HAL's principal function is the design, manufacture, repair, and overhaul of aircraft and helicopters.

Responsibilities:

• Conducted extensive testing and optimization to ensure the component's functionality and performance align with project specifications.

• Assisted in troubleshooting technical issues during the development and testing phases, ensuring smooth project progress.
