I graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I have acquired over eleven years of project management experience in the time since. I recently have managed an Architectural firm that I have shared with my wife wherein I have overseen 16-24 jobs at a time, but prior to this my experience was on large design and construction jobs, including several which were in excess of 1 million dollars, and was responsible to corporate management at Volkswagen and TVA to reconcile project budget and spending and ensure schedule, budget and quality stayed on track for capitol and large plant projects.
I have experience drafting, cost estimating, and designing systems, but in my career, I have found I excel in project management related roles: Scoping/Bidding/Installing, project scheduling, materials and contractor coordination, Facilities/Capital projects oversight, Commissioning. I enjoy working in cross-functional teams. I am a hands-on problem solver with a high level of attention to details.
In 2017 when we adopted our son, I made the choice to prioritize his adjustment by leaving the corporate field and managed my wife’s business, in which I interfaced with clients, contractors and coordinated engineers, reviewed design drawings, assisted clients in permitting and contractor acquisition, and headed all invoicing and payment of design subs. However, I am eager to return to a larger company with teamwork and service- minded values, where I can continue to push myself and grow. I understand the requirements of a Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager well and am happy to undertake 20%-30% travel. I am proficient at juggling multiple projects and communicating with engineers, contractors, multi-discipline teams and stakeholders.
