Use pin gages to check size, check pin gages before operation to be sure of size with calipers or micrometer. Learned to setup and operate turret lathe, lift metal weighing up to 25 lbs into chuck to be turned. Choose tooling and grind cutting tools to desired form. Sharpen drills on grinder when they need it, set tools needed in turret tool holders that are needed for certain job. Check first piece with precision measuring tools such as a micrometer, calipers, depth guage and scales. Also setup and run millers such as a Bridgeport or slotting millers. Cut stock for parts on saw. Setup and run drill presses, VTL lathe.
