Vibrant Graphics 2023 – 2023

Set-up, troubleshooting ink, glue, and plate issues on a Delta Modtech converting machine. Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and checks for correct positioning of images, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register etc. Make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work. Run finish labels digital or flexo using ABG Digicon Series II 13” label finishing and converting line. Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and checks for correct positioning of images, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register etc. Using a razor slitting unit to slit finished product from press to labels.

Press Operator II

Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a gravure press or single or multi-color offset press to print single-color, two-color, and/or multi-color work which includes large solids, screen tints, line and halftones with critical color values and registration requirements ranging from hairline to critical or operate similarly situated equipment that applies a variety of non-ink-based coatings to a paper web or sheet stock. Review job specifications to determine the press setup according to the imposition of the run (sheet wise or work and turn). Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and checks for correct positioning of images, prepping blankets, adjusting tension and register etc. Make necessary color corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work. Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required. Performs periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer. Currently working on a 10”, six color Mark Andy press.

Press Operator/Machine Operator

Set up and operates machines / tools such as slitters, die cutting machines, laminating machines, perforating machines, kiss cutting, laser and extrusion processing lines to machine metallic and non-metallic workpieces by performing the following duties. Read job order for product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, tooling information and specific customer requirements. Double check raw material pulled from inventory. Set up machine according to job card. Observe operation of machine and verifies conformance of processed material as to specifications. When issues occur operator to follow organization chart. Clean up machine and the surrounding area after the job is completed or at the end of the shift. Perform routine maintenance. (Mark Andy 830 Press, Mark Andy 17” four color Press)

Plate Mounter

Responsible for the pre-mounting of flexographic printing plates onto a carrier sheet. Preparation of the plates and carrier sheets for mounting and printing in accordance with job specifications. Utilize opti-check machine for the mounting of plates Ensure appropriate inking and proofing of the plates. Responsible for the packaging and shipping of the finished product Inspect, clean and store plates and report any noted defects Perform preventative maintenance on mounting equipment Adhere to all safety requirements and regulations. Press Operator/Forklift Driver

Set up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order. Perform testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during the production procedures. Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift. Feed information to calibrate for speed, shapes and sizes through the machine set up box.

Place parts in semi-automated machines Calibrate machines at the beginning of each shift. Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running Troubleshoot problems during machine operation. Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out. Perform random tests to ensure accuracy Perform safety checks on every machine. Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output.

Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times. (Koenig & Bauer presses) Create and maintain activity logs. Provide relevant information regarding progress to supervisors Train other Machine operators, Material handling using stand up and sit down forklifts as well as motorized pallet jack.
