Bail Commissioner

Meets with defense attorney and states attorney to discuss bail recommendations, present bail and domestic violence recommendations orally in court, develop orders and monitor release conditions such as substance abuse treatment, electronic monitoring, curfews etc maintain contact with clients under conditional release to monitor compliance, asses client eligibility for substance abuse or mental health programs and explains program to clients, complete program referrals and monitor client,acts as liason with community and other state and local agencies to obtain needed services for clients, conduct risk/assesment for clients to determine bail, contacts police departments to determine which locations have cases and travel, obtain arrest reports from police and discuss cases with arresting officers, stes bail and develop release recommendations for clients, explain court procedures to clients, prepare reports and correspondence, maintain activity logs
