Assisted with the technical electrical engineering aspects of the interconnection of wind turbine generators to electrical utilities in the United States and Canada. Co-resolved electrical cable failure difficulties significantly improving its operational performance and allowing for potential expansion with additional wind generators, thus enhancing sales and retaining an existing customer wind farm.

Generation Interconnection & Distribution Standards Engineer Aug 2003 – Jan 2008

Created distribution standards or developed revisions for electrical distribution systems. The final result would be included in the database of files for use by engineering staff in the execution of assignments throughout the corporation. Standards included equipment specifications, electrical phenomena guidelines and budgeting tools. Evaluated and approved vendors and products for equipment inventory. As an electrical engineering team leader, performed Generation Interconnection Studies on private utility distribution system and crafted reports involving performance of power flow analysis and assisting other engineers in relay/ protection relay review, meter and telecommunications for both internal managers and external customers and consulting engineers.
