• As part of the September 2019 Geological Society of America (GSA) annual meeting and exposition conducted in Phoenix, AZ, participated in the field trip organized to explore superimposed Laramide contraction, porphyry copper systems, and Cenozoic extension in the Globe-Superior-Ray-San Manuel area, east-central Arizona. Examination on site of deep drill core samples combined with the carried out intensive field observations helped much to acquire wide and deep knowledge about the porphyry copper systems, geology, different phases of alterations and district level and regional mineralization controlling structures

• Participated in the June 2019 Arizona Geological Society (AGS) annual field trip conducted in Mount Lemmon, Tucson region, Arizona, organized to examine the petrologic and tectonic significance of the Wilderness plutonic suite. The executed field trip helped much to understand and expand the knowledge about the W-Be, Au and the porphyry Cu-Mo metallogenies and local epithermal precious metal systems which characterized the south-eastern region of Arizona Nov 2018 - Mar 2019, Excelsior Mining Corporation, Gunnison Copper Project, Southeast Arizona, Field Geologist

• Involved and supervised Wellfield construction consists of injection/recovery production wells as well as various other compliance wells, well collar verification, and downhole geological, hydrogeological and geophysical data collection, QA/QC processing and data entry into acQuire database, completition several digital and field data collection forms, ensuring effective storage and transfer of said data, and communicating with various department heads and other contractors

• Control and monitor well depths at basin fill/bedrock interface, water table, and terminal depth of drill holes by providing supporting detailed lithologic, alteration, mineralization, structure and ore type description

• Hydrogeology logging and testing- depth of water table; penetration rate; flow rate

• Coordination of MIT testing (mechanical integrity test) after a hole drill completed

• Integration and interpretation of field and analytical data into sections and plans, preparation of daily summary work accomplished report

• Involved in the geological, alteration, mineralization, structures\fractures & joints investigations and ore characterization at the high wall and pit floor of the North Star mine, and other adjacent skarn Cu ore occurrences

Jun 2008-Dec 2017, Freeport-McMoRan Copper and Gold In., Morenci Mine Operation, Arizona, Senior Exploration Geologist

• Involved and supervised ore control businesses, drill holes operations, sampling protocol and intensive core, RC and blasthole logging; QA/QC processing, and acQuire database entry and updating; integration and interpretation of all chemical and physical data on sectional and level plans, and 3D geological modeling; statistical and geostatistical analysis and reserve calculation. The accomplished tasks resulted in the calculation of minable billions of pounds of copper and molybdenum in the Morenci porphyry-skarn deposit

• Studied, identified and characterized several types of widely distributed lithologic units; complex ore mineral assemblages; genesis and ore-forming systems of the hypogene and supergene of porphyry-skarn copper mineralization; major regional and district level ore controlling structures, and imprints of distinct phases of hydrothermal alterations. Based on the obtained results significant vertical and horizontal extensions of the porphyry-skarn copper ore bodies defined

• Worked as environmental coordinator and trained the employees of the Department of Geological Services. In conformity with the applied Local, State and Federal laws, the delivered training raised the environmental protection awareness of the employees substantially

• Studied, identified, mapped and analyzed high wall and slope stabilities hazards connected to the local and regional faults, joints, fractures, and lithologic contacts Tewelde\M Tecle
