20 years experience in the telecommunications industry represented by the Communications Workers of America (CWA). Worked in construction and maintenance environments inside customer premise and outside company plant meeting specific quality, production and safety standards and achieving high standards of customer service. Received daily work assignments performing assigned work independently or in crews in an effective and efficient manner to meet service deadlines working frequently under pressure. Worked with basic hand and power tools, mechanical equipment, sensitive wire and fiber splicing equipment, and various electronic test equipment for testing and troubleshooting copper and fiber telecommunications network both inside customer premise and outside company plant. Installed CPE components, installed CAT 5 cabling terminating to phone jacks and 66 blocks, configure IP addresses, installed wireless LAN, programmed software for network connections and performed testing to confirm operability. Worked with outside contractors during excavation accomplishing installations of new facilities and locating and/or marking buried and underground cable facilities. Communicated with other work groups, customers and vendors, accurately reviewing and analyzing complex schematic drawings and recommending any changes or modifications to facilitate purpose and need.
