TROUBLESHOOTING
Adept at diagnosing and isolating a variety of malfunctions to a component level in electronic communications gear using appropriate test equipment.
After receiving a fault code on a light-armored vehicle mounted radio system, used a systematic approach to isolate the fault. Verified that power was applied to the system while ensuring all cables were plugged in and still receiving the fault. Used test-measurement and diagnostic equipment to check the continuity of the cables associated with that fault. It was determined that a cable was broken and was replaced with a functional cable. Proceeded to make an operational check to ensure the system functioned properly.
While on a garrison maintenance stand-down, determined that all of the organization’s vehicle-mounted radio systems were in the incorrect type of vehicles. Facilitated the induction, maintenance, modification, and quality control for these radio systems to be de-installed then reinstalled from one type of vehicle to another. WORK EXPERIENCE
