Equifax – Global Storage Architect/Infrastructure

February 2013 to June 2014. Primary responsibility is setting product and service catalogs, selecting and managing vendor relations, and establishing Equifax’s global storage strategy. Additionally, responsible for infrastructure architecture and design of business unit solutions. To include: storage, servers, networking, and Disaster Recovery of business critical applications. Server solutions were virtual, physical and Cloud. HDS – Master Technical Consultant

September 2010 to Feb 2013. Primary responsibility is the delivery of HDS Professional Services. Storage Hardware/Software implementation of HDS products, both project based and long term customer onsite support. Provide Storage/Process Assessment, reviewing staffing, SOP’s, SLA’s, Best Practices, Tools, Reporting, and existing Processes. Comparing existing enterprise storage approach with industry standards and HDS Best Practices, providing customers with Gap Analysis and recommendation to remediation.

RBSWorldPay – Director Storage and Server Services (Contractor)

January 2010 to Aug 2010. Leadership responsibilities included the management of RBSWorldPay Windows, Linux, Storage, and Data Center teams. Directed day-to-day operations for 3 data centers in a mission critical 24x7 365 environment, with a team comprised of Project Managers, Storage, and System Engineers. Responsible for project development, budget, and delivery. Key initiatives to date include a complete backup and storage environmental refresh, a sever consolidation and virtualization initiative, and a new data center build out. Developed operational methodology for our storage and server services. Manage vendor hardware, software, and Professional Services relationships. Responsible for the future technical direction of RBSWorldpay US. Provided Infrastructure architecture and design for network, storage, and servers (physical and virtual). GTSI – Principal Engineer/Architect

September 2006 to December 2009. Primary responsibilities included: directing business unit opportunity responses and delivery implementation. Determining opportunity scope, price, and staffing (internal and external resources), then managing post award delivery. Responsible for negotiating price and terms with our partner network. Additionally, responsible for all of GTSI infrastructure and virtualization architecture and design solutions. Point of contact for delivery escalations, both business and technical. I mentor and grow consultative engineers, developing professional and technical skill sets. Represent Professional Services at customer presales opportunities. I am an active participate in GTSI’s large deliveries, ranging from delivery management to technical implementation. Specifically, Sun/HP/NetApp/HDS/IBM enterprise servers and storage. To include equipment configuration, data migration and replication, and virtualization of servers and storage. Software included HDS Dynamic Provisioning, HDS Storage Virtualization, HDS Tuning Manager and Tiered Storage Manager, HDS Universal Replicator, HDLM, HDS ShadowImage and TrueCopy. Additionally, provided full Disaster Recovery architecture, design, and engineering.

Augmentity Systems – Technical Manager/Storage Architect

July 2005 to September 2006. Primary responsibilities were management and mentoring of Augmentity engineers, and leading Augmentity Implementation Teams (technically and supervisory). Responsibilities include hiring/firing Augmentity consultative engineering staff, mentoring and growing technical skill sets and consulting skills. I coordinating with customers, OEM partners, and management to create win win solutions. Point of contact for customer and partner escalations. I was responsible for multiple storage and server architecture and design solutions/implementations. Additionally, I work with internal sales and OEM partner sales staff in both presales and post sales capacities, architecting and designing server, storage, and full disaster recovery solutions.

CTS - Storage Architect/Engineer Team Lead

September 2002 to July 2005. Primary responsibilities wer architecture and engineering of storage solutions in a multitude of environments. Responsible for storage frames, switches and infrastructure, and complete configuration and presentation of file systems including disk layout, lun layout, and striping. Utilizing Sun, HDS, EMC storage, and Qlogic, Sun, McData, StorageTek, Brocade switches, and Emulex, Qlogic, JNI HBAs, and ADIC, StorageTek, Sun tape libraries, and Veritas, Legato backup solutions, and VXFS, UFS, SAMFS/QFS, NTFS file systems, on Intel and Sun platforms. Experienced with multiple data imaging products. I have worked with EMC BCV’s (to include scripting), HDS ShadowImage and TrueCopy (CCI scripting). Responsible for complete turn-key solutions. I coordinate with respective customer on project scope, timeline, and maintaining the budget.

Interliant - Systems Architect/Systems Administration Manager

February 2000 to September 2002. Responsible for storage architecture/engineering, server farm engineering, and backup architecture/engineering across 5 Data Centers in a web/application hosting environment. Responsible for creating a budget, creating hardware RFPs, negotiating vendor maintenance, architecture and engineering of solutions, and final point of escalation for Operations. Utilizing Sun, EMC, Net App storage, Qlogic, Emulex, JNI HBAs, McData switches, and ADIC, StorageTek tape libraries, Legato backup solution, and VXFS, UFS, NTFS file systems. I established enterprise operational processes and procedures for storage and backup. I was responsible for managing 15 System Administrators in a 24 hour 365 day a year environment. We were responsible for 3,000 Unix/Linux/Windows Servers. My management responsibilities included hire and fire, reviews and raises, budget, maintaining internal SLA’s, assigning day to day tasking. I was completely responsible for the department’s direction and establishing processes and procedures. I was a direct report to the VP of Operations.

DMR - Infrastructure Manager

January 1999 to February 2000. Responsible for Y2K compliance of midrange computers, servers, network infrastructure, desktop computers, telephone system, and non mainframe applications for Blue Cross Blue Shield. My responsibilities were to determine Y2K compliance of hardware/software and to resolve non compliance by purchasing a new solution, retiring outdated software, or hiring outside resources to convert or upgrade. I ensured that departments provide the proper documentation to federal and state government bodies, and meet corporate standards. I was in constant contact with senior management. Additionally I managed 3 people. I was responsible for hiring, negotiating contracts, and assigning day to day tasking, mostly software development. Ensuring that all staff met time critical timelines. I regularly met with the CIO to discus corporate status and technical direction.

Superior Consultant Company - Senior Technical Consultant

April 1998 to January 2000. Project Manager for PC refresh and conversion of Windows 3.11 and dumb terminals to Windows NT. Responsible for drafting and implementing hardware/software policies and procedures, managing deployment schedule with management, manage Y2K compliance. Interviewed and received RFPs from outside vendors for procurement, deployment, and support of new pcs. Support of LAN/WAN environment, to include routers, switches, hubs, and servers. Assisted with conversion of DEC controllers to SNA servers. Configured and installed Novell 4.11 servers. Converted Novell 4.11 servers to NT 4.0. I was responsible for managing a staff of 4 to meet team objectives. I was responsible for the team selection and assignment of responsibilities. I was responsible for complete project timeline and budget. I was responsible for reporting our status directly to the CIO.
