***** ******* ******** *** ***********, CA 93314 661-***-**** ************@*****.*** Introduction
I am a lifelong learner, innovative thinker and problem solver. I am experienced at data mining, analysis, and interpretation. I have honed my skills over years working on fast-paced, multi-disciplinary teams. Many of the skills that I have acquired I have done so on my own initiative after having identified a problem or deficiency within the business. I pride myself on my ability to teach myself new complex skills and concepts with little instruction when the need arises. I have been recognized over my career for my ability to tell a convincing story with data and visualizations, and am often sought out for special analytical projects where the course and outcome are unclear. I believe these characteristics, above all else, make me an ideal candidate.

TECHNOLOGIST – WEST CENTRAL CA TECHNICAL TEAM CHEVRON FEB 2014 - PRESENT The WCC Tech Team is a petroleum engineering group tasked with providing engineering and project management support for oilfield operation. Primary objectives include remedial well work design, production forecasting, engineering reviews, and operating expense management. Roles and Responsibilities
Data Analysis Specialist
● Forecasting and Trend Analysis
Subject matter expert for advanced data mining and machine learning techniques. Prototyped a deep neural network in Python using the Scikit-learn library. The ANN is used to predict produced steam volumes via indirect measures and is used to make business decisions.
Developed a MS Excel based nonlinear regression analysis tool and process for production forecasting.
● Data Mining and Reporting
Generate ad hoc SQL reports and visualizations in Excel and Spotfire
Self-motivated deep dives into available data to discover trends, correlations, and discrepancies
Deliver regular reports and presentations on findings
Cost Management
● Lean Six Sigma
Facilitated or was a team member on projects totaling $8.82 Million in accrued financial benefit over the 2015-16 period, primarily from operating expense reduction.
Regulatory Compliance
Manage the annual idle well program for two oil fields to ensure regulatory compliance.
Contribute to annual field reviews for the Department of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources.
Geographic Information System Power User
Provide spatial and geostatistical analysis
Data set and map curation
Created FME jobs to perform regular data transformation tasks, automating a previously manual effort
Team Mentorship and Training
● 1 on 1 and group training sessions

TECHNICAL ASST. – SAN ARDO ASSET DEVELOPMENT CHEVRON JUN 2008 – FEB 2014 The San Ardo Asset Development team is a multidisciplinary team of reservoir engineers, earth scientists, and technical assistants tasked with strategic planning, reservoir characterization, capital deployment, and project management.
Roles and Responsibilities
Project Management
● Production Forecasts and Tracking
Tracked project production as a measure of project success.
Produced annualized project forecast, delivered monthly.
Provided detailed, data driven explanations to contextualize production variances.
● Cost Forecasts and Tracking
Developed a type curve based cost model to provide capital forecasts within acceptable variance threshold. The model was also reliably used for business planning cost estimation and financial accruals.
Monitored AFE costs in SAP.
● Project Lookbacks
Contributed data and statistical analysis of completed projects.
Derive lessons learned in order to update standard operating procedures.
Geographic Information System Power User
● GIS Analysis
Interpolation, spatial querying, georeferencing, and geostatistical analysis of geologic interpretations provided by the earth scientists
● Geodatabase Management
Oversaw transition and conversion of business critical maps and data from Surfer 8 to ESRI ArcGIS.
Curated the asset geodatabase and developed best practices for data storage and use.
● San Ardo GIS Champion
Involved in the GIS community of practice and GIS governance
Data Querying and Visualization
● Utilized VBA and MS Access to enable team members without requite SQL experience to gather data they needed to complete their work.
● Created custom visual project dashboards in Spotfire DATA ENTRY TECHNICIAN ACT-1 PERSONNEL SERVICES AUG 2005 – JUN 2008
Performed data entry services, assigned to Chevron.
Historical wellbore data correction.
Cyclic steam chart interpretation and entry.
Tour sheet/cost entry.
Maintenance ticket entry.
