2. Storage upgrade and rebuild: Rebuilt secondary EMC VNX 53000 and migrated it to our Colocation in chicago. Installed EMC Recoverpoint Gen4 RPA 4.0.2 with an 8GFC backend in order to sync block side data between production and DR SAN system residing at the colo. Configured Data Domain DD2500. Designed and implemented all
replication, backup, and disaster recovery plans covering the entire data footprint.

4. VMware/XenServer/XenAPP deployment: assisted in the deployment and maintained a Citrix XenAPP 4.5 farm, CAG, VPX, WI, provisioning components utilizing
VMware 2.5 and Xenserver 6.2 with NFS and iSCSI HA storage design that lasted the company 8 years.
5. ISP Migration: E valuated multiple providers supporting 9 sites with T1 to PRI conversion into Siemens PBX 3700 units along with fiber connectivity for data. Configured and deployed routers at all locations to connect to ISP’s MPLS network, encompassing all QOS/BGP rules residing on ISP leased Layer 3 devices. Deployed SIP routers for PRI conversions at all sites in order to maintain G.729, G.711 compliance with on premise Siemens digital boards. 6. Payroll & Web Filtering Solutions: E valuated and configured payroll and HR solutions and transitions between multiple vendors (Kronos, ADP, Paycom) both on premise utilising our SQL databases and later on migrating to hosted solutions requiring conversion of the databases for the given vendor and designing TSQL scripts to allow proper data ingestion.

/System monitoring solution utilizing ipswitch’s
WhatsUpGold to log issues with routers and servers and to allow for a better overviewer of the environment.
8. Network Redesign: P urchased and deployed HP 5406ZL, HP 4204VLs, & Cisco 3750 Switches.. Deployed the HP Modular devices as the core, implementing a VLAN
deployment into the network allowing for higher throughput and restructuring of DHCP servers and superscopes. Configured Cisco 3750 switch Stack for HA between SAN storage solution and VMware/XenServer hosts for iSCSI connectivity.

9. Security Audit and SAN replacement: P erformed an extensive internal security audit for the firm. Reviewed all aspects from user susceptibility to social engineering and ransomware to penetration testing, file encryption, and evaluation of solutions to mitigate risks. Created guidelines and security knowledge articles for IT staff and training manuals for users to be follow in the event of a breach. Tested POC deployments of FortiGate500D/600D,
Checkpoint 5600NGTX/3200 & Palo Alto 3060 next gen firewalls. VARONIS DatAdvantage with IDU for Exchange and SQL, RSA Auth Manager Two Factor deployment.
Evaluated Tintri T8885, EMC Unity 400, Tegile T4200, Nutanix NX6155-G5, Nimble CS500 as replacements to the VNX5300 to allow for drive and file encryption directly on the storage appliance in order to future proof and negate potential risks as well as to improve on all aspects of storage and replication.
10. Disaster Recovery and Cloud hosted solution: Created a plan to upgrade the colo systems that we use for DR in order to allow proper failover in the event of a crisis. The DR location is running VMware 2.5 and XenServer 6.2 and needs to be decommissioned and replaced with a
deployment that matches production. Created a budget that will guide decisions of deployment strategies including an upgrade path for all storage, network and compute
requirements that need to be met to guarantee success Evaluated Cloud hosted solutions and designed deployments for Evault, Centurylink, & Azure with an asynchronous replication design to replace DR entirely and reside as an Active-Passive solution.
