Evaluated the effectiveness of overseas tax provision processes and established original internal control programs and “best practices” models to address risk. Maintained quarterly SOX 404 internal control procedures for tax accounting and ensure proper documentation and identify additional controls to mitigate tax risk. This strengthened the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls, identified adjustments and improved the accuracy and presentation of the reported tax positions.

Led global initiative to design, develop, train and implement new foreign deferred tax programs and processes. Effort successfully achieved uniform financial statement presentation of deferred tax inventory categories, identified deferred tax reporting adjustments and obtained full required support and documentation for 90% of outstanding overseas balance sheet deferred tax positions.
