2013 thru present Self Employed Consultant Engineer Provided ongoing service to much of my Syn-Aps customer base performing repairs and machine control upgrades as requested.

Co-founded machine retrofit and service company serving aerospace industry. Assumed ownership position in 2001. Grew company to a full service custom machine design operation employing up to 25 people. Awarded multiple high profile contracts from major manufacturing companies.
1985 thru 1987, Merco Manufacturing, Orange, Ca. Responsible for the electrical assembly of Trace-O-Matic line of machine tools sold by the company. This included design responsibility for new models of machines and controls. Provided customer support for installed machines. Co-ordinated trade show exhibits. Created and installed custom interface software and commissioned completed machines.

Worked in maintenance department as a CNC technician performing repairs and preventative maintenance on all machine tools used by production.

Completed apprenticeship as an Industrial Electronic Technician while completing a four year college engineering program. Remained in that capacity with the maintenance department. Education.
1973 – Graduated St. Patricks High School, Dumbarton, Scotland.
1978 – Graduated Stow College, Glasgow Scotland with City and Guild degree in Industrial Electronics.

1996 – Co-wrote and presented technical paper for SAE Aerofast conference in Seattle on Machine Vision Systems.
Personal
