Senior Electronics Technician
Providing technical support to the drill ship for operations in Malayasia. I provide assistance with maintenance on the Aker torque master and Husimann cyber drilling top drive systems and Husiman cranes as well. I support the electricians with the VFD drive systems and the Engineers with the Thurstmaster thrusters. I also assist subsea with help on the Cameron stack and Oceaneering BOP mux controls. As well as support the bridge with the Kongsberg DP systems and also the fire and gas. Support the Captain and Chief Mate on all fire and emergency drills with training and support. I have experience with PLC’s, AC/DC Drives, High voltage switch gear, SCADA system and support on Cranes and all the automated and remote control equipment onboard. Some of the systems include Radio’s, Navigation equipment, Thrusters, Engines, Ballast control systems, and Ship board IT systems. We support these systems with our Preventative maintenance plans and proactive troubleshooting. I also manage ship board 3rd party contractors and projects onboard.
