In 1997, we became foster care parents until we adopted our daughter, Lorin, in December 2005. Lorin, is in Special Ed, in school. She has had open heart surgery for T.O.F. She had a feeding tube for 10 years. I took Lorin to feeding therapy 3 times a week at the Vincennes Hospital. She was Failure to Thrive. Now, she is Failure to Thrive resolved. Lorin was in First Steps, the first 3 years of her life. She had physical, development, occupational and feeding therapies. I had to do a lot of time management for all the therapies and doctors appointments with multiple doctors (Developmental Peds, GI, Heart, EYE, Family, Dentist and Orthodontist, Podiatrist) for Lorin. I also dealt with birth parents, visitations, DCFS, courts, classes to keep my foster care licenses up to date, and the school corporation for Lorin's IEP. Two of my greatest accomplishments are always being there for my family and being able to rehabilitate a child that was not mine at the time.

HOBBIES & INTERESTS

My hobbies include but are not limited to: Boy Scout leader for a year, paper work is something that has always been something I enjoyed. I was a foster care parent so I had to keep record of each child and their schedules. I enjoy learning and trying new things. Seminars of interesting topics are things I have been known to attend. I enjoy spending time on the computer. I love to talk and get to know people. I am definitely a people person. I like to travel to new places. I enjoy learning new things about the places and culture of their people.
