Field Engineering Manager. Gladstone LNG Plant Project, Australia. Two liquefaction trains, 3.5 million metric tons per annum, two 140,000 cubic meter LNG storage tanks, product load-out jetty, supporting utilities and infrastructure. $5 billion. Scope included 3 miles of plant roadways, 2 bridges, 750,000 gpd reverse osmosis desalination unit, sewage treatment plant for population of 2,000, and engineered storm water pollution prevention facilities for construction phase as well as permanent facility.

Bechtel Oil Gas & Chemicals. Project Engineer and Field Engineering Manager. Sabine Pass LNG Terminal, Louisiana, USA. Storage and re-vaporization facilities for 1.4 billion cubic feet/day plant expansion. Two 160,000 cubic meter LNG storage tanks, Submerged Combustion and Ambient Air Vaporizers, Send-out Pumps, Metering Stations, MCC, DCS, SIS. $500 million. Scope included establishment of potable water supply tanks and distribution piping, firewater system, 2 miles of plant roads, drainage and detention, and package sewage treatment unit.

2000-2005

Lockheed Martin, Houston, Texas. NASA Science Engineering Analysis and Test Contract.

Project Engineer, development of life support systems space flight hardware, and flight projects support, International Space Station program.

Petrocon Arabia Ltd., Saudi Arabia

Project Engineering Manager, Capital Projects for Saudi Aramco including:

Controls system upgrade for 140,000 bpd Riyadh Refinery. Upgrading, replacement and integration of 7,000 field devices. Johnson Yokogawa DCS. New control building, blast resistant, 10,000 square feet, process interface buildings and associated civil infrastructure. $70 million. Cathodic protection (impressed current) system for process units, underground piping, and tank farms, Riyadh Refinery. $20 million. Electrical power distribution upgrade Abqaiq Oil Processing Facility. $10 million. Retrofit of redundant pressure relief valves at 250 locations in process units, Riyadh Refinery. $5 million.

Saudi Arabian Marketing and Refining Co. (SAMAREC).

Project Engineer, Capital Projects.

Strategic planning and management of engineering contractors for the Kingdom Refineries Upgrade Program (KRUP), focusing on the Yanbu, Riyadh, and Jeddah Refineries. Overall value of the KRUP program was estimated at $3 billion. Upgrades planned included:

Yanbu Refinery: increase crude distillation capacity to 300,000 bpd. New Hydrocracker, new Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCCU), new 2,500 bpd MTBE unit.

Riyadh Refinery: revamp of hydrocracker to add 3,000 bpd for a total capacity of 34,000 bpd.

Jeddah Refinery: upgrades to desulfurization unit and increase in octane capability.
