JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Member of project construction supervision team in overseeing the installation and quality assurance of the MV/LV and low current electrical works, such as MV/LV cabling, Cable Trays, Cable Ladders, MV/LV transformer, MV/LV Switchgear, LV bus ways, Stand-by power generator, ATS, UPS system grounding and lighting protection system, Normal and Emergency Lighting system including the lighting control devices (DALI), Power system, Fire alarm system, Public address system, Security (access control & CCTV cameras) system.
Ensure the site work executed in accordance with the approved Shop drawings, applicable codes and standards and project specifications and requirements.
Coordinate with other related disciplines regarding problems encountered on site.
Attending and witnessing the Testing and Commissioning of the MV/LV electrical equipments and low current systems.
Monitoring and inspection of site work and oversee the various works to ensure the quality of work and safety standards undertaken.
Attend weekly meetings (progress meetings and coordination) and prepare daily observation/weekly reports.
Inspect/check all sample electrical components and materials submitted by contractors to ensure compliance again requirements and technical specifications.
Inspects and tests electrical parts, assemblies, and accessories prior to installation for conformance to specifications and quality standards, using precision measuring instruments and test equipment.
Examining parts and assemblies, such as wires, control panels, coaxial cables, XLPE cables and Panel boards, for completeness of assembly, quality, engineering drawings, and specifications.
Examine electrical systems such as Testing of Transformers, RMU’s, Capacitor bank, Main distribution Panels, Control panels.
Conducting Continuity & Megger resistance tests for wires using test equipments.
Records acceptance or rejection of parts on inspection report, and indicates reason for rejection
Responsible for inspecting the installation of electrical systems and equipment to detect faulty wiring and ensure they comply with electrical codes and standards. As per contractor request Visiting construction sites, performing inspections, and makes recommendations for improvement.
Ensures safe operations including safety toolbox talks, site inspections & Field Risk Assessments (FRA's), safety work practices, safety incident investigation Compile inspection reports.
Stop construction of non-compliant installations and issuing Non Conformance Notice (NCN)
Issuing Field Notices (FN) to the contractor if work is not carried out as per the specifications and standards.
Write up recommendations for improvement on site coordination with other MEP disciplines.
Also coordinating the technical queries with engineers to solve the various issues on the site with proper coordination and work requirement as per standards.
Verification of materials is also carried out during inspecting the concerned area of inspection by the contractor, such that the materials is brought on site before the installation for the various disciplines and systems.

Ensure that all electrical works are being carried as per the approved construction drawings and in accordance using standards.
Co-ordinate design interfaces with Civil, Communication, Mechanical / HVAC and plumbing Engineers.
