DESIGN PROJECTS
Project Manager: An Autonomous Minesweeper Robot
Designed and built a PIC16F87x-based controller for
Autonomous Minesweeper Robot
Designed and assembled the hardware part for the robot
Designed and tested the analog/logic circuit for the Hall Effect and
IR sensors
Troubleshoot and solved hardware problems
Performed evolution testing on the hardware
Tested and analyzed design concepts ensuring established engineering
Processes using Pspice, and Oscilloscopes
Modified and installed the servo motor
Prepared technical reports of the project using MS Office for design
Reviews and design documentation
Maintained and improved the quality of the team's engineering design
Process
Reported to facilitator summaries of meeting agendas and attendance,
Progress and problems on the project
Maintained task list, timeline and budget
Maintained project management including Gantt chart for planning
scheduling task assignment
BATTERY TESTER, Electrical Engineering Department,
Michigan State University
Designed a PIC microcontroller base Battery Tester to measure the
voltage output of a 1.5 volt using the timer and interrupt features of
the microcontroller, LED, and C++ program.
CALCULATOR/CONVERSION, Electrical Engineering Department,
Michigan State University
Wrote and designed an engineering Calculator/Conversion program with a
graphical user interface. The calculator included the functions of Ohms
law, resonant frequency, total value of resistance or capacitance,
based math operation, and conversion of hex, binary and decimal.
DSP, Electrical Engineering Department, Michigan State University
Designed FIR and First-Order low pass digital filters with 33
coefficients and a sampling frequency of 8 kHz using the TI TMS320C6711
DSP Chip, DSK board, and C coding.
Vending Machine
Designed a vending machine using Xilinx which the vending machine
accepted only nickels, dimes, and quarters. The cost of all the items
should be 20 cents. The machine can only accept coin and return change.
As a result, I had to provide my own hand-drawn state diagram, Xilinx
state diagram, generated VHDL code, and functionality simulations.
