Resume:

STEPHANIE M. TSUMBU

514-***-**** ****.******@*****.***

I’m a graduate, looking for my next corporate experience. My main objective is to extend my knowledge. I am specialized in economics, statistics, business analysis and marketing. EDUCATION

CERTIFICATE IT & BUSINESS ANALYSIS, HEC MONTREAL, QC 2015- 2016

Academic Project 1 (SAP, Access, Excel): In a group of four, we created a fictional company by the name of ERP.sim that produced and distributed dairy products (cheese, milk, yoghurt and cream). The first step was to determine the roles, which included: sales chief, logistic and stock coordinator, pricing coordinator and vice president of sales. During many sessions, we were put through simulations, competing with our peers on a four sectional territory with varied tastes. As the pricing coordinator, my role consisted of managing price changes based on the demand and the market. Our goal was to maintain our margin during the simulations and maximising profit. At the end of the project, we produced a dashboard with all KPIs. The KPIs were defined based on finance (profits, price variation, profit margin, costs, losses), inventory (sold quantities, ordered quantities, excess quantities), product, and geography. Academic Project 2 (Visio, Access): In groups, we were given an essay about a fictional company. Based on that information we were able to define actors, roles, inputs, outputs and actions. We then produced modelling documentation

“ What do you want to be when you grow up?”

A quest ion that is often asked, as early as one learns how to speak, and the answer is often very simple. But at this turn of the century, as fields merge and up to three generations fight for the same jobs, the answer is very much complex. But in order to reach said goals, one has to understand them, learn the how’s, the do’s and don’ts. Most of my peers have been able to reach maturity on their respective quests at an early age, I unfortunately wasn’t as aware. As I look at my academic history, which has been for the most part rocky; I am proud of what I have managed to accomplish thus far. I have a BSc. in Mathematics and Economics (June 2015 University of Montreal) and finished a certificate in information technology and business analysis (December 2016 HEC). The combination of these two programs is simply to allow me to use information technology as an analytical tool. My wish is to be a market analyst and eventually do an MBA.

But why pick me? I do not want to let my shortcomings outshine my potential, whether it is in my professional or educational experiences. I am not my marks, my capacities are not limited to my past experiences. On an interpersonal level I bring, my positive attitude, my thirst for knowledge and my willingness to work hard.

On a professional level, I bring my understanding of data and what it can do for your company. There is information everywhere.

In marketing, the collection of data is used to understand the demand, estimate it and maximize it.

In finance, the very movement of data defines the stock exchange. And you’re able as a company, for example to prepare for market imperfections such as moral hazard and adverse selection.

And in business management, with the appropriate evidence, one is capable of restructuring a company to obtain more efficient results. Using technical changes such as poka yoke or theoretical such as six sigma. The fact that Julie prefers product X may seem quite trivial. Why does she prefer product X? Is this preference related to her gender, social class, age, or the product quality? And if it is, to what extent? What is the probability that a person with a similar profile has the same tastes? To do such a study, one must collect a lot of data. Data, which needs to be transformed into information. Qualified individuals are therefore needed to manage such high volumes of data, interpret it, and sometimes make them say, what you want them to say. And I do believe, I could be that person for you.

There is much more you can do with a half filled glass than a full glass. But my answer to the question is: I want to be part of the minds that shift methodology in business and information technology. I want to find purpose in what I do. I want to be fulfilled in both my personal and professional life. And truly believe that this opportunity can bring me closer to that. I look forward to hearing from you regarding a personal interview. Please find enclosed my resume for your perusal.

Thank you, for your consideration.

Regards,

Stephanie Muanda Tsumbu
