ENGINEERING REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION AS REPRESENTATIVE OF THE FIRM:

DESIGN:

- Attending client meetings and Interdisciplinary meetings, coordination with civil, mechanical, architectural during the design process (observe conflicts and possible solutions)

-Analyze the project requirements and create a design meeting the client’s needs, on time and within budget,

- Perform Problem solving suggestions for better economics, efficiency and productivity.

-Field investigation of existing conditions of equipment, locations and clearances, obtain meter readings,

-Coordination and preparing Utility Company load calculations and clearance coordination,

-Provide all Electrical Engineering documents for the Design Development, Construction Design and Final Design levels of completion. Includes One-lines, Calculations, Circuitry, Plans, Details, Sections, Panel and Equipment Schedules and Diagrams.

-Provided Electrical Specifications for each submittal level coordinated with the drawings.

RECENT PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES

99 Tunnel Alaskan Way Seattle, WA

Design responsibility for the Drawings and Specs for the Northbound and Southbound Tunnels and Adjacent egress pathways and equipment rooms for the Fire Alarm Systems, including Fiber Optic type Linear Heat Detectors and redundant coverage and additional Fire Alarm devices for these two mile long tunnels. (HTNB)

Responsibility for the Construction Administration requirements for these project’s Fire Alarm Systems for submittals, RFI’s Field investigations, reviews. (HNTB)

Presidio Battery & Main Post Tunnels; San Francisco, CA.

Design included the Fire Alarm, Radio, Co, (3) Camera Systems, Voice Evacuation, Call Boxes for emergency telephones for these three tunnels and two substations. (HNTB)

Birmingham, McCalla Railroad Yard, Birmingham, AL.

Lead Electrical responsible for the Power Drawing and Spec documents for this rail yard for the operational cranes, fuel dispensing, multiple buildings, pump houses, microwave tower and incoming site 12.5kv distribution lines. (HNTB)

Fairfield Train Station, Fairfield, CA,

Lead Electrical responsible for the power design on the site for the Loading Station platforms, multiple parking lots under different metering systems, Communication systems and pumps. (HNTB)

Salt Lake International Airport De-Icing Projects Phase 1-4. Salt Lake City, UT.

Lead Electrical responsible for the power design and Spec documents for these four phases to distribute power to the Airfield lighting consultant, diversions valves, glycol stations, pump houses, control station and adjacent operations facilities. (HNTB)

Mountlake Terrace Freeway Transit Center, Mountlake Terrace, WA

Senior Project Lead responsible for preparing the engineering design for the facility lighting, power, specifications, estimate and pole mounted traffic lane illumination. (HNTB)

PREVIOUS PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES

Bill Gates Residential Complex, Medina, WA.

Senior Project Lead responsible for the power, lighting and communication systems. This role provided construction assistance, this complex included a swimming pool, gallery, reception hall, computer room, theater, library, dining hall, family and living quarters, recreation room, and industrial kitchen facilities. This is a complex of over 45,000 sf., with separate 11,000 sf., of Lakeside, Activity and Gatehouse buildings. (Interface Engineering)

McNeil Island Correctional Center, McNeil Island, WA.

Achieved Senior Electrical Project Lead, working independently to manage and coordinate the design of the power distribution system and lighting design for all the drawings, specifications, estimates, and the Value Engineering studies. I interfaced directly with the client staff and construction managers, as well as the state DOC Project Manager. Conducted punch lists and attended contractor’s walk-through. Included 6 cell houses for 1,400 inmates at 425,000 sf., industrial laundry of 9,000 sf., voc-tech at 27,000 sf., visitor center at 15,000 sf., and hospital at 15,500 sf. (dental, oral surgery, and psychiatric facilities), inmate services at 31,000 sf., dining at 10,000 sf., and a gymnasium at 15,000 sf. I-90 Mt. Baker / Mercer Island Tunnels, Seattle, WA.

Senior Lead Designer responsible for lighting, telephone, fire alarm, incident detection, TV and CO detection systems and lighting. Responsibility included the power and lighting requirements for the tunnel, which encompassed 1,500’ and Lid of 2,000’, requiring direct coordination with the DOT liaison and construction assistance.
