5th Signal Command, Wiesbaden, Germany

Serves as a Network Operations Specialist in the RCC-E's Regional Cyber Center- Europe’s Theater Cyber Operations and Integration Center (TCOIC) supporting US Army Europe (USAREUR), European Command (EUCOM) and Africa Command (AFRICOM). Serves as the principal point of contact for all network event / incidents as well as identification, reporting, and resolution coordination for the European Theater networks to include both Installation Campus Area Networks and Wide Area Networks. Responsible for ensuring fastest possible restoration of DoDIN Service Incidents, and mitigating Net Defense and Net Assurance Incidents. Responsible for vigilantly monitoring NIPR and SIPR networks using various network monitoring tools, detecting outages Triage of major incidents using the RCC and agencies outside 5th Signal Command. Responsible for extensive analysis / assessment of network troubleshooting and is the focal point for coordination of all resolution actions to minimize network and system downtime and maintain availability of required capabilities across the European Theater. Utilized knowledge in ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) in IT Service Lifecycle processes like Continual Service Improvement, Service Operations, and Incident/Event Management. Leverage project management skills to efficiently resolve problems which require input from multiple stakeholders. Possess thorough understanding of all reporting and notification requirements, IAW established policies, ensuring proper coordination with all internal and external commands for NetOps situational awareness. Maintain updated status of all outages from identification through resolution. Interface with COCOMS to ensure accurate depiction of Theater network status; prepare and conduct briefings as required. Provides daily executive briefings to leadership; utilizing business case development skill set to fully inform decision makers within the organization.

Direct resolution action between technical personnel at different tier levels and act as the facilitator or central Point of Contact (POC) for resolution actions. Direct telephone conference bridges between action representatives and acquire approval for after duty hours or over time work when necessary.

Prepare reports and provide timely status to senior leaders with accurate, clear notification through the established Commander's Critical Information Requirements (CCIR) and Friendly Forces Information Requirements (FFIR) process. Provide situational awareness reporting to USEUCOM, USAFRICOM, DISA EUR, ARCYBER, and NETCOM.

Prepare briefings for the 5th SC(T) Commander and leadership on DODIN, Information assurance and network defense incidents and ASI's ensuring information addresses specific details and is clearly understood.

Contributed immensely to establishment of procedures and processes to support the transitioning to the Joint Information Environment (JIE); extremely eager to contribute to the team mission.

Skillfully created process documents utilized by 5th SIG CMD within the Theater to streamline reporting and coordination of critical systems as well as SOPs for the TCOIC.
