Summary
Mauricio is a visionary doer. He’s passionate about building products, teams, and companies that people value and love.
Mauricio is an entrepreneur at heart, a talented engineer that has product management next to his heart. He has a history of building and leading exceptional teams, innovating toward where the market is going, and delivering results.
Mauricio as a good visionary gains a good understanding of the target audience and the technologies being used. He develops theories and opinions to establish a vision for his team and sometimes the company it self. However, just a vision is not good enough; he needs to ignite passion in his team and provide a destination where everyone can row in the same direction. He lives the scientific method: constantly ideating, building, testing, and improving. He creates an environment where talented people thrive, and helps those around him be better than they thought possible.
Mauricio is passionate about delighting users with an indispensable tool. He strives to build elegance, impact, and differentiation while minimizing the risk of over-investing in the wrong direction.
Management Style
Mauricio will be authoritative and determined in solving complex, strategic solutions; he expects his team to help him in this goal, and keep up with him.
Venturesome and fast-moving; he will direct his team to “think outside the box” and formulate innovative ideas to technically-oriented problems; if they cannot come up with solutions, he will hand them preliminary ideas to solve the problem and let them finish.
Eager to delegate details so he can concentrate on the achievement of his objectives; his follow-up will be quick and cursory, asking whether it’s been completed rather than how it was done.
Mauricio is direct. If somewhat tough, in communicating: if you ask, you will always know where you stand with him.

Management Strategies
To maximize Mauricio effectiveness, productivity and job satisfaction, consider providing the following:
Opportunities for learning and exposure to various aspects and responsibilities of the business, moving as fast as circumstances permit (he is a very fast learner)
Variety and challenge work, in an environment in which new ideas are valued.
Opportunities to delegate routine detail work once he himself has experienced and mastered it.
Opportunities to allow him to create unconventional, spontaneous, and even unproven, solutions for others; undeterred by unknown implementation complexities or lack of validity. He likes the opportunity to push boundaries and disrupt markets.
