As Contracted Construction Manager, assisted owner in acquiring permits, hiring and managing subs for new CF2 Mill in Chesapeake, VA.

Assumed management of a 19 unit housing project that, at the time, was 6-weeks behind schedule & in default proceedings. The project was completed on schedule to the owner’s satisfaction.

As project manager, acquired permits, secured contract, managed construction and delivered 600 Kw hydroelectric plant to City of Auburn in NYS.

As project manager managed the safety, environmental, contract, schedule, budget, procurement, material and construction issues performing civil work for a diesel powered generating plant in Fort Chipewyan. Project receiving company award for safety record.

As owner’s representative, managed the safety, environmental, contract, material and construction issues for Enel Green Power North America. The projects included: Sheldon Springs, VT – Emergency Inspection and Repair the Unit 1 Head Cover and Runner Hub. Lawrence, MA – Fabrication and installation of King Pile Cofferdam, modification and installation of tail race gate and de-watering Unit 1. Lawrence, MA – Gatehouse Construction rehabilitation - involved removal, fabrication and replacement of wood stem and gate sections at historic canal gate house

As owner’s representative, managed the safety, environmental, contract, material and construction issues for Brookfield Power New England. The projects included: Riverside GS; Berlin, NH - replacing 600 LF of wood penstock, which involved boring and anchoring piers to bedrock and installing 13’ diameter steel penstocks in a limited access area, draft tube replacement and complete ring disassembly, retooling and installation. And the Gorham GS; Gorham, NH - switchgear replacement.

As the owner’s construction manager for BC Hydro, managed the safety, environmental, contract, schedule, budget, material and construction issues while overseeing the fabrication, supply and installation of an 86” OD x 23’-4” x 1 ” thick liner, grouted in place, into the CW2 to repair a circumferential crack at the Burrard GS. This was ground-breaking, high-risk confined space work

As the owner’s construction manager, was responsible for the safety, environmental, contract, schedule, budget, material and construction issues for several Brookfield Power New York projects including: Varick GS; Oswego, NY - Eel Ladder installation and the Baldwinsville Hydro Concrete Upgrade. Both projects involved work underwater and from heights. Also completed were an Obermeyer System - Feeder Dam and Millwork preparation of a spiral case for new unit installation. As the owner’s construction manager for BCH projects, managed the safety, environmental, contract, schedule, budget, material and construction issues for a Geotech Investigation for John Hart Generating Station Replacement Project, security upgrade – JH GS, and a seismic upgrade drilling.

NATIONAL GRID

Managed safety, contract, material and construction issues for electric substation projects including were two green sites that required swampland drained, foundations built, ground rods, grid, mats and conduit installed and erection of structures and setting equipment. Additional projects included enlarging an existing station to accommodate new transformer, breaker and SVC equipment; and enlarging two existing stations adding regulators to one of them.
