oncology medical surgical unit. Responsible for administering chemotherapy
to patients. Regularly access ports, perform wound care, and educate patients on
disease processes and medications. Administer blood transfusions. Precept new
graduate nurses and students. Initiate care plans and conduct pain assessments.
Graduate Nurse Intern Program Houston, TX
Participated in a program to develop and guide novice nurses. Year-long January 2011-December 2012
weekly educational conferences. Learned program with Benner’s Model.
Precepted for four months by an experienced nurse. Leader in two evidence
