Client – Sydney Airport Corporation Limited (SACL)

Description: Sydney Airport Corporation Limited (SACL) is a private company that operates and manages Sydney Airport in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The project is designed to support Sydney Airport in the implementation of a new Planning, Budgeting, Modelling and Analytical platform. Sydney Airport is a project focusing on providing integrated Budgeting & CPM solution. It uses BOARD International technology platform to create CPM Consolidated, Retail & Workforce Planning Capsules.

Responsibilities:

Creating Info cubes with excellent balance of Sparse and dense structures.

Expert in performance optimization of Hyperion planning and Essbase applications.

Load data and dimensions using Data reader protocols for loading master files and transactional data.

Involved in understanding and analysis of requirement specifications provided by customer.

Description: Powerhouse is a reporting system for British Telecom, which helps customers in management reporting, query, and analysis capabilities for a wide variety of data sources in a single coordinated environment. British Telecom has a Oracle Hyperion Essbase 11.1.2.3 system holding 13 major cubes for their reporting requirements. Since their reporting requirement involved more distinct count measure the cubes build were ASO and BSO both. The main source for these cubes was from Oracle DWH from which the data was loaded through rule files triggered by Maxl scripts automated in Unix batch scripts.

Responsibilities:

Worked extensively on Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion planning, Hyperion Financial reporting.

Providing user access to cubes through Hyperion Shared services.

Expert in writing calculation scripts, creating rule files, Data load rule files using Sql Method.

Creating Maxl scripts for loading data load rule files

Automating data loads, dimension build and cube refresh using Unix bash scripts.

Minor developments based on user’s requirements

Performing minor enhancements to cubes as a monthly Release Activity termed as System Improvement plan.
