I worked part time for approximately 2 years as a Mechanical engineer on a large top secret mission critical project prior to being hired full time. I aided the firm in the adoption of a mission, vision and values which they never had before. Started a quality program and led the effort to establish ISO 9001 throughout the firm. Accomplished getting all departments’ drawings to follow a new standard so that all drawings looked like they came from the same firm. Provided a quality check of all departments’ drawings and for appearance, content, spelling, coordination with other trades and identified technical corrections to drawings. Major projects included a $20 million decentralization of the boiler system at Quantico Marine Corp Base (installed by another firm after Evantage was disbanded. Another was a $16 million project as a continuation of work at Langley Air Force Base as well as many others. Key also was the decision not to proceed with unprofitable projects previously analyzed by previous engineers. Worked as a team lead to accomplish the work. Developed software tools and analysis procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency of project identification and development as well as utilizing industry software tools to an advantage. After Evantage I worked in Dominions Corporate Headquarters analyzing new energy generation, control, storage, and solar technologies that have the potential for changing the electric industry.
