Vital Axis www.vitalaxis.com is pathology lab management tool that is built as web based application and licensed out to organizations receiving anatomic pathology laboratory specimens. VitalAxis is a HIPAA compliant secure system, serves as the complete connectivity bridge between pathologists, laboratories and physicians to assist the medical community by providing the most comprehensive healthcare to patients in a timely and effective manner. This application serves as a complete LIS System, from specimen procurement to final report and billing, integrated using standard HL7 interfaces. The system has role based security to ensure compliance while optimizing performance. The system has custom branded report templates, ability to include photomicrographs and complete with anatomic mapping features to improve pathologists efficiency in generating the highest quality reports, which are instantly available to their physicians through Internet reporting and integration with a physician's EMR (Electronic Medical Records), distribution facility using email, fax and remote printing.

Responsibilities:

Review product design documentation to ensure that requirements stated are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable.

Consult with product development to evaluate system interfaces, operational requirements, and performance requirements of overall system.

Define test methods and create test plans for new or updated software projects to determine if the software will perform accurately and reliably according to documented requirements as well as established standards under both normal and abnormal conditions.

Recommend design improvements or corrections to engineers throughout the development process.

Maintain effective communication with the project software engineers on project limitation, capability, performance requirement and hardware interface changes.

Execute test plans and create test reports to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.

Monitor program performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.
