Project Description: The Purpose of the Project is to measure railway track parameters like speed of train, vertical and lateral accelerations with respect to track, etc. OMS helps in maintaining railway track. Transducers are used in measuring track parameters.

Project 2: Track Recording System (TRS)

Client : Research Design & Standards Organization, Indian Railways, Lucknow, U.P.

Duration : 6 months.

Team Size : 5 members

Role : Associate Designer and Testing.

Environment : Multisim 11.0, RS 232, Windows XP.

Project Description: The Track Recording System (TRS) provides a very effective means for the Indian Railways to monitor the condition of their extensive railway tracks. It measures, displays and records several track-quality related parameters using related sensors, Data Acquisition and Processing System providing a very convenient and effective tool for planning the maintenance schedules and for maintaining the tracks themselves. The system consisting of transducers namely Accelerometers, LVDT s, Rate gyros, Inclinometer, Tachometer, Automatic Location Detector, and DT's to measure the motions of the coach while it is moving on the track.
