Additional Information
● In high school, I was active as a softball player and a history club member. I was also part of a new club called Peer Mediation. Our school thought Peer Mediation would be a great way for students to settle their own differences when fights or arguments arose on school grounds. While teenagers may not see how beneficial this sort of program is, in my adult life, I see many examples where peer mediation could be a progressive and fundamental step in dealing with conflict.
● I am a single parent to a child who was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder at a young age. Having no where to turn, I was heavily dependent on the people within the organizations diagnosing and caring for my son. I learned many valuable skills from observing how these people interacted with my child and with me. What I can offer is the parental perspective. It can be devastating on the parent and sometimes, they need a little help too.
● While I realize there are gaps in my employment history which would look unsavory to a potential employer, my hope is that you take my resume into consideration. Many events in my life have given me the opportunity to rise to the occasion and not only teach me about patience, hard work, and dedication but they have also given me maturity and confidence that I did not have prior.
● I am continuing my education by pursuing my Masters degree and following that up with my Doctorate.
