Accomplishments:
In charge of design and implementation of a complete disassembly and
reassembly fixtures for the CH47 Chinook forward and rear transmissions.
The designs included stationary electric rotation devices for ease in
tear down and assembly of awkward and heavy gears and shafts.
Also included in the design were heat treat tooling, various hand tools, paint and
process transportation dollies, hoisting, shipping and handling transport devices.
Responsibilities:
Designed disassembly and assembly fixtures for the F-22 Raptor aircraft transmissions.
This includes designing all support tools, heat treat tooling and hardware.
Design machine shop rapid change tooling and fixtures, which include, jigs and fixtures
for production assemblies and sub-assemblies using Auto Cad 2004.
Formulate and update design manuals, and check manufacturing drawings.
Modification and updating of existing tooling for manufacturing and heat treat.
Interface with finance and purchasing writing necessary tooling requisitions.
Interact daily with vendors and suppliers on job quotes and purchase orders.
