ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Lead technical project engineer for the Limerick (Pottstown, PA) & Hatch (Baxley, GA) nuclear power plants NUMAC Interface Computer (NIC) modification – Plant Process Computer modification. This modification included updates to the Plant Process Computers, Wide Range Monitors (WRM’s), Rod Block Monitors (RBM’s) as well as the addition of network switches and changing from using IRIG-B as a time source to an NTP server.

Extensive experience with modifying nuclear plant documentation (schematics, User Manuals, construction permits, licensing docs, GEK’s, etc).

Lead technical project engineer for the Lungmen Spent Fuel Pool Level Monitor (SFPLM) modification/installation. This modification included adding SPLM’s to the existing Lungmen Spent Fuel Pool (SFP). Hardware included the SFP probe which attached to the SFPLM’s in the plant control. The monitors functioned on supplied plant power as well as a optional back-up power supply. Once competed, this SFPLM project was used as a template for 3 additional International SFP projects (Tokai, Higashidori, and Onagawa).

Experience with domestic (Limerick-PA, Hatch-GA, Nine Mile Point 2-NY,Columbia-WA) and international (Lungmen-Taiwan, Leibstadt (KKL)-Switzerland, Tokai-Japan, Higashidori-Japan, Onagawa-Japan, Shimane-Japan) nuclear power plants.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Led a power supply circuit card redesign team used in 3 of Rockwell Collins’ most popular display units. Redesign provided a six figure annual cost savings and time reduction of 66 minutes per circuit card.

Completed a service bulletin that converted one Multi-Functional Display unit (MFD-268 C3) into another unit (MFD-268 C3A) for the US Army.

Led and assisted with potting a high voltage transformer that needed to be able to withstand rapid temperature changes, which would induce moisture.

Assisted in meeting and exceeding the first pass test yield percentage of 70% for the MFD-268 C3, C3A & C6. First pass test yield as of May 2012 is 80% (highest percentage in product history).

Completed systems level documentation & EEE testing for a DHM upgrade for various MFD’s.

Jan 2010 – 2011 Sun Electronics: Internship (Miami, FL)

1yr Internship with a full scale PV module solution & distribution company.

Responsible for assisting senior PV engineers with solar panel farm designs for small and large businesses (domestic & international).

Calculated loads in order to prepare panel estimation.

Completed assignments on Off-Grid systems, Battery Banks, Pre-wired Power Systems, Grid-Tie systems, and Hybrid systems.
