Senior Propulsion Design Engineer 01/2012 -02/2013

CATIA V5 / ENOVIA LCA solid modeling, design and analysis on the Boeing 737 MAX preliminary design program. Preliminary design of titanium aft bulkhead with integral beads, (SPF) super plastic form part. Mentored junior engineer through the final design phase.

Completed preliminary design and analysis of the nacelle inlet engine anti-ice system. Interfaced and coordinated with the Engine Build Group to design a system allowing thermal growth within the nacelle cavity. Preliminary design of swirl nozzle within the D-Duct of the inlet lip assembly. Designed all sliding connections to allow for thermal growth. Conceptual design of spring assist for the fan cowl to replace the P-DOS system.

Lead Design Engineer 01/ 2011-01/2012

CATIA V5 solid modeling design and analysis of throttle quadrants for various aircraft including Cessna, Honda, C17 and Hawker Beach Craft. Led the program for the design development and analysis of the “Auto Throttle Design” for Cessna Aircraft. Preliminary design concept of auxiliary power unit (APU) for business class jets. Worked with TAI (Turkish Aerospace) and EASA on certification of the Harlow designed throttle quadrant for Turkish Tandem Fighter Trainer program. Worked with the fuel control unit supplier to accomplish all demanded flight conditions and certification issues.

Completed rough draft of 28 certifications reports in the first tow months of being hired. Completed CS23 power plant control systems compliance report final copy. Concurrently worked detail drawings and final assembly drawings for certification. Completed and or checked all 96 detail drawings and sub-assembly drawings.

Direct supper of Flight Test Engineering on experimental aircraft to prove new power plant and fuel system installations and supporting aircraft systems. Preliminary design, configuration control, and major interface control for power-plant and fuel system installations. Responsible for all engine wiring harness and failure modes.
