Dear Hiring Official:
Thank you for taking the time to consider me for the engineering position at Ciresi & Morek. I’m very excited for the opportunity to expand upon my engineering credentials after spending nearly two years in the field after graduation from the University of Kentucky. I knew since the summer before entering college that I wanted to experience the rewarding life of being an engineer; I take pride in knowing I can solve potentially complex problems and give back to my community with my work. Since I started UK’s electrical engineering program, I’ve had my mind set on entering the power industry.
I understand that the experience I do have isn’t entirely related to this position, but I’m very confident in my ability to learn and absorb the information and knowledge as I first start the job.
It’s very important to me that I stay in the power industry, since that’s what most of my classes have been geared towards. I have completed the classes required to acquire my Power and Energy Institute of Kentucky (PEIK) certificate.
Since I started my first day in kindergarten, I’ve been an overachiever in most aspects of my life, and I believe my GPA and current career record this early in my life reflects this notion. I am zealous to start this brand new chapter in my young career; however, I’m confident that I will continue to learn and be the best engineer I can be from the day I start to the day I retire. Thank you again for your time and for considering me for this position.
Sincerely,
Stephen Hardy
