As a US Navy Rear Admiral, directed operations across a 91 country region to include airborne and space-based support of counter-terrorism missions in Europe and Africa, commanded a U.S. Navy Carrier Battle Group, and managed all navy job placement. Interfaced intimately with government customers as well as with the company workforce and managed seven contracts employing 150 people with an annual revenue of over $26M. Gained a thorough knowledge of all contracts in term of what we promised, what we were doing, how we measured success, and how our people were succeeding in that effort.

Led a team to develop and produce the concept of operations for the Global Theater Security Cooperation Management Information System (GTSCMIS). Theater Security Cooperation is the sum total of everything DoD does to enhance national security outside of warfighting (military aid, training, equipment, etc.) and the GTSCMIS program is intended to better manage this effort.

Provided consulting services to PEO C4I leadership, specifically in the program office for command and control (PMW 150). Orchestrated and led alignment and strategy meetings between PMW 150 leaders and flag and senior officers in OPNAV, 2nd and 3rd Fleet, NETWARCOM, the ASW Center of Excellence, the Program Executive Office for Aircraft Carriers, Joint Forces Command and European Command. These activities resulted in enhanced engagement and the development of processes to facilitate a better understanding of requirements and resulting costs. In addition, participated in the Navy’s Future Command Center efforts responsible for designing command and control efforts for the next generation of warships.

Responsible for advising Commander, US European Command on all US military operations, including the command and control of US forces across an area of responsibility that stretches from Russia to South Africa. Advised the commander on the availability of US forces to support NATO and to support other US combatant commanders.
