AVTRON AEROSPACE, Independence, Ohio (2007 to present) Global engineering organization producing innovative test technology from support of legacy airframes to next generation commercial and military aircraft. Avtron test systems are preferred by airlines, military depots, component manufacturers and maintenance shops worldwide. Along with Avtron’s quality system and ISO certifications we consistently develop and deliver robust designs tailored to specific applications built to exact customer standards. Project management responsibilities include but are not limited to developing products to specific product requirements or customer statement of work (SOW), determined in conjunction with sales, applications and/or engineering management. Coordinate efforts of engineers and technicians to efficiently complete the design and manufacturing of test equipment for strategic and customer focused projects. Keep management informed of project status and escalate high risk issues such as technical problems and resource shortfalls. Coordinate the development of products. Responsible to meet schedules, budget and performance goals as agreed upon through discussions with sales, applications, and engineering management. Communicate directly with customers throughout high capital projects to ensure customer is informed of project status and key milestones. Be aware of requirements set forth in customer SOW and make sure the design and support activities meet these requirements. Prepare and maintain detailed planning of project activities including schedules, cost estimates and resource requirements. Work closely with manufacturing to ensure the projects flow smoothly through production and manage requests for engineering support when needed. Project design responsibilities include preforming design tasks including layout, design, detailing, BOM, complete drawing package and manufacturing support of hydraulic and fuel nozzle test stands. Develop and maintain all support documentation and work closely with manufacturing throughout the assembly, testing, customer buyoffs and installation to ensure documentation accuracy. Sales responsibilities include direct communication with customers throughout the complete cycle of quotation through installation of product and aftermarket support. Manage all phases of the order fulfillment process from proposal reviews through the successful buy-off by the customer while effectively communicating and resolving all open issues in a timely manner. Develop a lasting relationship with the customer to ensure return sales. Travel worldwide when needed. Demag Sumitomo (formally Van Dorn), Strongsville, Ohio (1977 to 2007) Global engineering organization producing and servicing injection molding machinery and support equipment used by thousands of Molders to manufacture parts made from thermoplastic, elastomer and thermoset materials.

Responsibilities included all phases of manufacturing from detail drafting to project management. Highlights include from being on the original design team of the two liter soda bottle with Pepsi Cola to project manager of the NPE Plastics show.
