WORK HISTORY

Design Engineer September 2012- August 2015

Faurecia Emission Control Technologies – Bangalore, India

Routed, packaged and designed automotive exhaust systems with France OEM’s in collaboration with CAD Designer.

Evaluated customer information/requirements and reviewed for technical compliance.

Created models, welding and documented RFQ drawings for Dragon, Panther, and Transit Connect for Ford, also supported in creating technical presentations.

Released 2D product drawings into customer system in accordance with standards/requirements.

Collaborated with various department team members globally to ensure compliance to core company processes and methods.

Created Engineering Bills of Materials (EBOM) and Engineering Change order (ECO) as per customer needs. Interacted with project leaders to define requirements and generate and maintain design development documents.

Prepared, checked and coordinated documentation to support component design and application. Ensured compliance with product specifications and standards requirements as per FORD.

Maintained Single List of Issues [SLI] to analyze root cause of errors committed in projects.

Led project scheduling to successfully and quickly complete engineering projects as per deadlines. Assured quality check of deliverable projects to the customer.

Interacted with the Design leaders Bavans (France) by conducting meetings on task, round table discussions of lesson learnt, task deliveries and discussions with process improvement.

Collaborated with team of two members for a specific request from sales team which aimed to get paid by Ford regarding extra alloy, and involved huge amount of money and received appreciation.

Cooperated with team of two members in creating drawing for eight muffler lines in short duration and received appreciation from customer for also noticing the design mistakes of the assembly.

Designed and executed a modification on half shell model as per supplier requirement and it was validated by Ford and internal customers.

Handled and managed efficiently and accurately multiple projects with priority deliverables.

ENGINEERING PROJECTS

Crashworthiness Project, Wayne State University Completed Fall 2016

Performed test on Dummy to find injury parameters, analyzed the intrusion due to crash, post processing of results done by LS Dyna and Hyperview.

Developed understanding of various crash scenarios, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) standard from simulations using LS Dyna and LS Prepost.

Vibration System Analysis Project, Wayne State University Completed Fall 2016

Derived resonant frequency of the spring mass system by using mechanical vibration free body diagram.

Generated mode shapes using AutoCAD for the vibratory system to understand motion of the system.

Six Sigma Case Study, Wayne State University Completed Summer 2016

Criticized the technical paper for reducing the quality cost of custard buns with a team of five members.

Used DMAIC and Improve phase was explained along with Design of Experiments using Minitab.

Presented findings to a class of twenty five students.

Engine Modeling Project, Wayne State University Completed Winter 2016

Carried out Design of Experiments (DOE) varying the engine speed to determine best spark timing, IMEP, BMEP, BSFC for the given engine specification using GT-Power.

Compared volumetric efficiency and brake thermal efficiency of the engine by increasing number of intake and exhaust valves, L/D ratio of engine was optimized, plots were generated using GT-Power.

Flip Chip package Modeling Project, Wayne State University Completed Winter 2016

Compared the fatigue life of solder ball for clean and non-cleaned void model.

Modeled continuum plain strain eight node elements for the mesh elements using Hypermesh and Abaqus to determine which model was better.

Six Slots Geneva Drive Project, Wayne State University Completed Winter 2016

Meshed the Geneva model using Hypermesh with a team of seven members.

Introduced misalignment in the Geneva drive by altering the mesh using Hypermesh.

Achieved Von Mises stress and Torque results using Abaqus, presented to a class of thirty members.
