An influential, driven and entrepreneurial Head of IT with a successful background in media, travel and telecoms service providers. Commercially aware and business led with broad IT experience and a background in Networks, having worked for world-class organisations including BT, Reuters, Easyjet, Sky broadcasting and Daily Mail.

Feb 2016 – current Director of Technical services at Forterra (Irving Tx)

Following my move to the United States, I joined Forterra, one of the largest building products manufacturers for the construction industry, based in Irving.

Reporting to the VP of IT, my responsibilities can be summarised as:

Formulate and deploy strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient information processing and communication technologies.

Manage provision of end-user services, including help desk, technical support, hardware/software deployment, and training/knowledge sharing

Monitor and manage service incidents and adopt a hand-on approach on escalations.

Develop and test effective disaster recovery via application pilots and IT drills prior to business

Develop and implement strategies and policies and procedures for regulatory compliance of information systems and security.

Oversee negotiation and administration of vendor and consultant contracts and service agreements.

Source, hire, supervise, monitor, evaluate and provide direction to direct reports. Provide professional growth and development; develop and communicate annual goals and objectives; monitor performance.

Define and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to leadership, support staff, and end users.
