Profile

MANAGEMENT/TECHNICAL

SQL DBA / Data Analyst for Velocity Commercial Capital (current) – all aspects of standard DBA related duties (backup, warehouse management, replication, proc/view/sql agent job development). SSRS and SSIS development and maintenance. Access, Business Objects development as well as Oracle SAP web intelligence.

DBA/Sql Developer and Senior-level I.T. Business Partner with CareFusion (now BD) at their El Paso Infection Prevention manufacturing facility. Coordinated resources from corporate I.T. to assist the facility in achieving on-time and under-budget success to all projects. Performed technical analysis, business case analysis and co-authored functional goals specification. Duties included interfacing with numerous 3rd party vendors and assisting in contract modifications as necessary. Managed all local SQL Server resources and assisted with networked resources at our corp data center in Chicago.

Vice President – Engineering with HealthcareFirst (originally Healthcare Software Systems Inc.). Took a small, struggling regional software vendor with approx. $400,000 in revenue to a company purchased by Riverside Investments for over $60 million. Renamed the company, rebranded the entire product line, designed new public facing portal and created one of the nation’s first cloud based Homecare and Hospice software management solutions. Architected all databases and designed interface code. SQL Server and VB.NET

Hired and led the engineering team to create one of the nation’s fastest growing software vendors. Duties included managing features and capabilities within resource limits while prioritizing and articulating team goals to achieve a success driven culture within the firm and a public level of confidence in our products.

Sr. Software Engineer/SQL Developer – McKesson. Designed and developed the Pathways Homecare Telephony system (all interface code in VB.NET and SQL database). Provided internal and external training and supported national sales efforts as technical sales expertise in travel with national sales reps.

Adjunct instructor – Ozark Technical College (Springfield, MO). Extensive successful training experience across disparate groups with varying degrees of initial grasp of database design and software development.

TECHNICAL

Extensive software development experience, both fat-client and web based .NET. Sql Server Enterprise database architecture/development/deployment supporting internal and external facing systems with thousands of concurrent users. Deep history creating client facing medical systems both public and private. Microsoft MCP and MCSD certified.

nurse scheduling, visit tracking with complete tie-in to Horizon Medicare Billing module (VB application with SQL backend).

All processing takes place over a phone-to-computer link allowing nurses to record patient visits, nursing activities and record patients notes while in patient's home.

System automatically provided real-time visual interface to home office allowing homecare agencies access to visit performance as it occurred.

System certified compliant for regulatory record-keeping for Medicare/Medicaid billing.

Extended existing Sql database for this new product addition - all related tables, views, functions, triggers and stored procs.

Homecare Nurse Scheduling rewrite.

Designed and developed automated data-bridge between legacy AS/400 & HAMS PC databases to Horizon Homecare (then "Pathways") databases.

Data-bridge written in VB 6.0.

The purpose of the data bridge was to provide a seamless upgrade path from legacy McKesson products to new SQL client/server applications.
