Completed AutoCAD I, summer of 2016, to update my CAD skills

Various drafting duties included posting and checking service and main orders (including as-built).

Pipe drafting, both single and double line drawings, sections, schematics, regulator stations, control valves, plan and profile, red and green lines, plot plans, mapping, light structural drafting, bill of materials, and some isometrics.

Specialized training consisted of a one year stay in the engineering department, including field and survey training.

Cad systems included AutoCAD, Micro station, Small World, and company’s custom mapping system.

Ran a project verifying the location of company facilities. Used certified surveys and supervised drafters to assist with this. This involved dealing with local entities including: municipal utility districts, public utility districts, utility districts, emergency service districts, school districts, local cities and counties, including City of Houston auditors.

Trained cad operators and board drafters on posting and check gas facilities, reading pipe drawings, schematics, plan and profile, as-built, sections, plot plans, gas pressure, control valves, regulator stations, operating maps, corrosion maps, leak survey maps, bill of materials, drafting standards, and safety.

Ran a mapping project combining two separate gas utility systems into one mapping vehicle. Trained drafters and supervised their work. Worked with several internal departments: microfiche department, communications department, engineering department, field survey, and field personnel. Monitored billing by various contractors hired to assist with this project.
