As Area General Manager my primary focus is to oversee multiple accounts, Arizona State University my home account, Rose Bowl, University Nevada Reno, San Jose State University, Utah State, University of New Mexico to name a few. My role as Area GM is to provide the on sight General Managers with event support, guidance and mentoring at all times. In addition to GM support I help to ensure that all Sodexo standards are being utilized and implemented at all times. Additionally I work closely with all of our clients/partners to help maximize both client/partner satisfaction and guest satisfaction.

7/2004- 8/2009, Sodexo Sports & Leisure.

Oversee all food & Beverage operations for the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe Arizona. Operations include over 64 high-end suites, with a vast array of custom tailored menus. In addition operations include serving up to 5,0000 guests in the loge section of the stadium. This section offers numerous challenges as the guest expectations and the logistical limitations of serving so many people in a 50-year-old outdoor stadium are many. In addition I manage a group of highly skilled managers that handle the concession for the 70,000 plus seat stadium. This operation plays host to over 1200 associates with nearly 300 separate points of sale. Furthermore I supervise the extensive catering that includes everything form the custom tailored menus for officials, visiting owners, and a host of dignitaries and VIP’s that attend games.

In addition to playing host to the Arizona Cardinals my primary role is that of satisfying our client, Arizona State University. The University plays host to some of the best PAC 12 football in the country. ASU is famous for constantly delivering crowds of over 60,000 a game. As General Manager of this account my role is to interact with the university officials on a daily basis, on issues such as contract interpretations, planning meeting, stadium operations, and many more Furthermore we also are responsible for what the PAC 12 calls the “Training Table” This piece of business is responsible for feeding the football teams meals year round. This involves a very personal side for catering and mandate that our culinary team delivers a superior meal with a very nutrional focus. In addition to Sun Devil Football teams needs we also attend to the Universities 14,000 seat Basketball arena that offers a wide range of food and beverage offerings.

5/2000-7/2004, HMS Host (Formerly Host Marriott Services)

As food and Beverage Manager responsible for over, $30,000,000.00 annually in sales, I supervised all aspects of the daily operations. I am personally responsible for over 350 associates and 31 different franchises to oversee, such as Starbucks, Fox Sports, Burger King, Pizza Hut, TCBY, Cinnabon, and California Pizza Kitchen to name a few.

In addition to overseeing all aspects of operations I also am responsible for all the adult beverage locations operations and training. I am certified to train and instruct in all adult beverage operations. I work, closely with Department of Liquor Licensing and control, as well as the Arizona Business Council for Alcohol education.

My experience goes far beyond that of just quick service restaurants, in addition to being certified by over two dozen branded concepts, I am also proficient managing full service restaurant operations from casual to five stars, with extensive background in fine wine. Part of my responsibilities with HMS Host include over a half a dozen “casual dining” restaurants as well a two full service restaurants that can seat over 350 persons.

Papillion’s Sports Grill and O'Mally's On Campus, Tempe AZ

As Managing partner for one of the largest Sports Bars and Restaurant facilities in Tempe AZ I was responsible for all of the daily operations, including quality assurance, cost control, hiring, accounting, budgeting, and scheduling. I employed very hands on proactive management style, which led to an increase of sales of nearly 200 % in the first 18 months. In 1996 we opened a second location and I managed this facility as well. I feel that our "customer satisfaction at all costs" campaign was instrumental to our success.

Club CoConuts, Cleveland OH

As director of food and beverage for the second largest theatrical nightclub in the country, my duties and responsibilities were many. I was responsible for the safe and profitable operation of nearly 80,000 square feet of operating space, which housed 16 bars and 2 restaurants. I managed a staff of over 200 nightly, which was responsible for servicing the 2,000, plus guest that frequented the establishment.

Head of Security

5/1988 - 10/1989

Club CoConuts, Cleveland OH

As head of security I was responsible for hiring and screening a security staff of nearly 100. I worked closely with the local governments and community leaders to ensure the safety of the entire area as well as the guests. I developed many programs with the City of Cleveland Police and Fire Department to ensure that al procedures were being enforced and that all precautions had been taken for the safe operation of our facility.
